In the season finale of Welcome to Plathville, Olivia Plath finally revealed the full story of her feud with Kim Plath and why she feels so traumatized by her mother-in-law. Welcome to Plathville season 4 was full of surprises for viewers who never expected to see the conservative family change so much. As Micah, Moriah, and Ethan Plath established new lives for themselves outside of Cairo, Georgia, Kim and Barry Plath’s marriage hit a breaking point. Kim and Barry revealed to their children that they are getting divorced, and the season ended with the now-exes unsure of what their future as co-parents will look like.
Viewers saw a new side to Kim in season 4, and the controversial matriarch actually gained a lot of sympathy with fans after opening up about her own traumatic upbringing. Micah and Moriah both had meaningful sit-downs with Kim this season and appear to be on much better terms. Even Ethan agreed to meet up with Kim to have a tense and awkward talk—which is a major step for Ethan. But one Plath family member who still isn’t ready to make nice with Kim is Ethan’s wife Olivia.
