On Welcome to Plathville,Moriah Plath has always had a close relationship with her sister-in-law, Olivia Plath. The two bonded, and quickly became best friends. When Moriah felt like her parents didn’t understand or accept her, she leaned on Olivia.
Reality celeb Olivia encouraged Moriah to be herself, and showed her that there was more to life than strict rules and boundaries. Much to Kim and Barry Plath’s dismay, she helped Moriah to adjust to the outside world. This caused a lot of strain and tension between Olivia and Kim, leading to their longstanding feud. Olivia has kept her distance from Kim, and has no desire to mend things after all the hurt and pain that Kim has caused.

Now that Kim and Barry are separated, Olivia is trying to extend an olive branch to Barry, so she can begin rebuilding their relationship. She visited Cairo with Moriah and Ethan Plath, to spend time at Joshua Plath’s grave, on what would have been his 15th birthday. Barry went too, and the kids, and the outing was a first step towards making peace. When things didn’t go according to plan, and it was decided that Kim would be there also, Olivia didn’t know how to handle it. She decided to remove herself from the situation. Her behavior frustrated Moriah, who said that she is tired of the drama. Many fans felt this outlook was hypocritical of Moriah, and that she is taking Olivia for granted after everything that she has done to help her.
