With September 7 just around the corner, the world is getting ready for a bunch of new iPhones this Fall. The iPhone 14 series is promising some big upgrades when compared to the outgoing iPhone 13 series. One of the big upgrades is expected to be a faster 30W charging solution on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models, which could promise much faster battery charging times. Now, a new leak suggests that Apple could actually be bringing the faster 30W charging to the Pro models.
Based on a leak from DuanRui, it is said that an unnamed brand is sending 30W chargers to several media outlets and reviewers for the testing of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. On the other hand, another tipster Kioriku says that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will only charge at 30W when the battery is charged from as low as 0 percent. The power will drop down to 27-25W as the percentage increases. Note that these are unconfirmed leaks and we don't know much about the iPhone 14 series from Apple yet.
The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro are said to charge at max power of 23W and 27W respectively, the 30W boost should fasten up the refill speeds. With the relatively smaller battery capacities than the Android phones, these phones shouldn't take over an hour to fully recharge. However, the 65W and 120W charging solutions from brands like Xiaomi, iQOO and Realme top-up bigger batteries in under 30 minutes.
Last year's iPhone 13 Pro Max still holds the crown of offering one of the best battery stamina figures on any smartphone today, and we expect the iPhone 14 Pro Max to only further it. The iPhone 14 Pro Max is also expected to ditch the infamous display notch in favour of a hole-punch cutout for the front camera and Face ID
