Capcom released a new gameplay trailer for Street Fighter 6 at the recently concluded EVO 2022. The video reveals returning character, Juri, and a new character, Kimberly. Street Fighter 6 was announced back in February 2022, and was finally revealed during the PlayStation State of Play in June 2022. Now, the latest trailer has revealed what the two characters will bring to the roster.
Game Director, Takayuki Nakayama, revealed how exactly the team came about introducing Kimberly and Juri on the PlayStation Blog. “In terms of Kimberly’s design, we aimed to create an outfit suitable for her speedy and acrobatic movements since she excels in sports like track-and-field and cheerleading,” he said. Her bio also reveals that she is the disciple of Guy and aims to bring her own flair to the Bushinryu style of fighting, via some 80s pop. Consequently, she has a spray can in her arsenal, which can be used as a Shuriken Bomb.

Juri first appeared in Street Fighter 4 and has been a series regular since. “For Juri, this costume retains the image from her Super Street Fighter IV one, but has been rearranged to fit the Street Fighter 6 aesthetic," said Nakayama. "There is also a change in the hairstyle, which I think gives it extra personality. The colors of her Feng Shui Engine are purple, black, and white, and accented with emerald green”. A lot of her moves, like the Fuhajin, also return, but with a twist. There are also a bunch of new names for her moves which might seem a little different at first, but still hold the familiarity with the original ones.
Despite only a handful of official character reveals, we know the entire roster for SF 6 thanks to a massive leak.
