As they approach Salt Lake City in this chapter of The Last of Us Part 1, Ellie has become noticeably distant from Joel. Following the harrowing events of the previous winter, Ellie’s terrifying close call with David has left her with scars, and a much-needed moment of levity could not come sooner. This chapter sees the famous giraffe sequence come into play, and players can experience a tender moment between Joel and Ellie as they reconnect.
The duo sharpens their resolve to complete their journey to find the Fireflies once and for all. At the bus depot, players will learn a little more about the initial outbreak of the cordyceps infection, with Joel providing context for the medical triage tents that were set up. While walking down the highway, players will pass an ambulance, and further along will be an open RV waiting to be explored. By the sink, players can pick up an old photo of what once was a happy family, and whatever supplies they left are available for the player to take.
Upon entering the Logan James Bus Station, players will need to take a left to find a set of stairs. If they descend here and continue along the left-hand side, they'll eventually reach a cluster of suitcases in the corner by the bench.
