Hogwarts Legacy has been a raving success for WB Games, having sold over 22 million copies worldwide over the course of 2023 to become the year’s highest-selling game. In light of that success, it’s no surprise that the company plans on releasing plenty more titles set in the Harry Potter universe.
Speaking in a recent interview with Variety, WB Games president David Haddad cited upcoming free-to-play multiplayer game Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions as an example, before adding that the company also has “a series of other things” that it hasn’t yet officially announced that are being worked on. According to Haddad, these games will “let the fans be part of this world and stories and characters in deeper and deeper ways.”
Given the success that Hogwarts Legacy has enjoyed, it should come as no surprise that Warner Bros. already has plans in place for future releases that could potentially do the same. A sequel to the open world action RPG might already be in the works, in fact, with job listings suggesting that developer Avalanche Software was working on a new unannounced AAA game.
