and announced Season 5 of, which begins on February 4, will be its last. Once the season ends, online features for the game will no longer be available.
In a Multiversus update from WB Games, the studio announced Season 5 concludes on May 30 at 9 A.M. PST, online features will be unavailable to players. Additionally, the game will be delisted from the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
The company confirms Multiversus will be playable offline with the local gameplay mode against A.I. opponents or up to three friends. As long as players install or update to the latest version of the game, and create a local save file on their desired platform, the game should be playable offline with all earned and purchased content.

While many of these changes occur in a few months, one change is being made today. As of right now, players can no longer make real money transactions in Multiversus. This means anyone wanting to grab some Gleamium before the game shuts down is out of luck. Players who currently have some Gleamium stashed can still be used until Season 5 ends.

Multiversus originally launched in early access in 2022. The beta period ended in 2023, in which the game was taken offline. The full version of the game launched last year with 26 playable characters. There are currently 33 playable characters, with Season 5’s Aquaman and Lola Bunny bringing that total up to 35.
