With the redesign of the Dark Ranger Hero Tree and changes to a few new talents a new issue has arisen for Hunters: Two talents result in severe ninjapulling of enemies. These are Hunter's Prey and Withering Fire. The former primary affects Beast Mastery Hunters while the second affects both Beast Mastery and Marksmanship.
Both Hunter's Prey and Withering Fire seem to target enemies in a 180° cone in front of you, regardless of whether you are in combat with them. It can also fire Kill Shots and Black Arrows through walls and line of sight. This is especially a problem in dungeons with tightly packed enemies such as The Dawnbreaker. This effectively makes the entire Hero Tree incredibly risky to play as you constantly risk pulling additional enemies.
One simple solution is to simply not play Dark Ranger until this is fixed. Pack Leader does a bit less pure AoE for Beast Mastery, but has stronger priority damage which does help speed up your keys more regardless. Similarly, Marksmanship Hunters can just play Sentinel.
If you insist on playing Dark Ranger you should take care to face away from enemy packs. This is easier said than done, but a fair bit easier as Marksmanship as you would only need to pay attention during Withering Fire. Beast Mastery Hunters would have to pay attention during their entire normal rotation due to Hunter's Prey, which you can't really skip as Dark Ranger without losing a lot of output. At that point, you might as well play Pack Leader.
