Part of the third-person shooter hack-n-slash video game, , is being able to upgrade weapons to take down enemies known as Tyranids. Although as a Space Marine players will have superhuman abilities, weapons still help to keep the swarms under control. To upgrade weapons, players need Mastery Points.
Mastery Points are the currency of and are used to buy special perks for weapons. Players can unlock weapon perks that deal more damage, instantly reload weapons after use, decrease recoil, and more. Here’s how to get Mastery Points.
There are a few ways to get Mastery Points in. The first way is just to play the game and level up your weapons. Each weapon type has XP that can be maxed out, and when you upgrade that weapon, the XP bar resets, and you can max out the upgrade, too. Players will have to play through Operations, the PVE mode, to max out weapons. Each weapon upgrade and variant will allow you to max out the XP. Every time a weapon’s XP is maxed, you’ll earn Mastery Points. Once the weapon is completely maxed, though, you won't be able to earn more Mastery Points for it.
Since Mastery Points are limited, don’t use them willy-nilly. Instead, make sure that you are choosing the weapon and perks that will most benefit you during your gameplay.
Make sure to level up the variants as well so you can earn as many Mastery Points as possible. If you max out the XP for both the Standard and Master-Crafted Plasma Pistol, you’ll earn two Mastery Points. Luckily, there areplenty of weapons to level up. With six weapon categories, over 20 weapons, and four tiers, you’ll be able to earn plenty of Mastery Points. Each weapon will start off as a Standard weapon, but you can then upgrade to Master-Crafted, Artificer, and Relic at 1,500 XP, 7,500 XP, and 17,000 XP, respectively.
Mastery Points are weapon-exclusive, meaning that when you earn a Mastery Point for one weapon, it must be used on that weapon. It cannot be transferred to another weapon.
