Along with showcasing more co-op gameplay for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Saber Interactive officially confirmed the inclusion of PvP multiplayer. Called Eternal War, the mode sees two teams of six Space Marines battling it out for glory (or competitive spirit). Check it out below.
Based on the footage, the mode appears to be your standard Team Deathmatch, with both sides battling with firearms, melee weapons and abilities. Seeing two Marines slicing each other apart with chainsaw swords is pretty cool, though. It’s worth noting that the closing text states “6v6 Multiplayer Modes,” so there may be other PvP modes. We’ll need to wait for more details in the meantime (including on the banner and clan customization listed in the official art book).
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 launches on September 9th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Check out more extensive campaign gameplay with Lieutenant Titus and his team battling through the Tyranid swarms on Planet Avarax.
