Vaults - New Dungeon Type Coming to Diablo 4 Season of the Construct
Diablo 4's next Season is rapidly approaching, and Blizzard has just revealed a new dungeon type called Vaults — which will also be available in the more challenging Nightmare variant.
Diablo 4 Season 3 Overview What Are Seneschal Companions?
The Vaults are dungeons that feature elemental hazards. The new monster family, The Constructs, can be found in several elemental variants within the Vaults. These can drop Shattered Stone, which can be used to craft Governing Stones and Tuning Stones (used to customize your Seneschal Companion) at the Jeweler.
After offering the new, required currency Pearls of Warding to enter the Vaults, you can be blessed by Zoltun’s Warding, a buff that grants access to the loot within the Vaults.
Zoltun’s Warding diminishes stack by stack when you die to the various hazards that can be found within the challenging new dungeons.
Completing a Vault by defeating the Vault boss with Zoltun's Warding active will unlock a Wardwoven Chest, which contains Governing Stones, Tuning Stones, and also has a higher chance of dropping Legendary items. Completing a Vault will also reward you with one random Tuning Stone. Pearls of Warding, which can be earned from Arcane Tremors in the open world, can also be used to gain extra stacks of Zoltun’s Warding at the Vault entrance.
The amount of stacks will determine the reward from a successful Vault run.
After reaching World Tier 3 with your character, Nightmare Vaults unlock. Vault Sigils will drop alongside Nightmare Dungeon Sigils. You can also use Pearls of Warding to craft Vault Sigils.
