Through gathering wood and stone, players can build nearly any type of structure with only one catch: Valheim requires structural stability. These realistic limits have been the cause of some headaches for players and, in the latest example of this, one player shared the heartbreak of creating a bridge before unlocking the Longship in the game.
Valheim was released in 2021, and the game combines Norse mythology and Viking culture within an open world. While players do have to manage survival mechanics in this game, it also has a building mechanic that allows players to build structures and defenses to make their lives easier.

Through this single image, the player shows off a bridge they made that crosses a river in the Meadows biome. While the structure is well-supported, features stone foundations, and reaches across this body of water perfectly, there is one clear issue: it isn’t tall enough. Stuck on one side of bridge is this player’s Longship. This is the largest vessel in the game, and its single mast reaches just high enough to hit the top of the bridge — ensuring that it is unable to move underneath. As the game requires players to transport metals the old-fashioned way, this hurdle must have been a frustrating realization.
