Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 Can Make Daddy Long Legs Canon
As soon as Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 announced its antagonist, Mommy Long Legs, fans have been wondering if a Daddy Long Legs exists in the Poppy Playtime universe and whether he’ll appear in the upcoming chapter. Since then, the Daddy Long Legs concept has spawned numerous memes and fan art of what Mommy Long Legs’ counterpart could look like. Although it’s somewhat likely that Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 is already complete, as its release is rumored to be April 29, it would be nice to see a reference to Daddy Long Legs in a future chapter of Poppy Playtime.
While the latest Poppy Playtime chapter release date has yet to be confirmed by MOB Games, the April release date for Chapter 2 was leaked on Steam. MOB Games has announced that Chapter 2 is three times the size of the previous chapter, sending players deeper into the abandoned toy factory. Due to its size in comparison to Chapter 1, it's likely Chapter 2 will introduce an array of new characters, some of whom will appear in posters, video footage, or as lifeless, broken toys that the player can’t interact with.

Despite only one chapter of the game being released so far, Poppy Playtime has already developed detailed lore about the Playtime Co. Toy Factory, its employees, and its toy inhabitants. Many characters are only referenced in Playtime Co. posters or commercials, or broken toy parts scattered around the factory. Not all of these characters get a starring role or storyline. Poppy Playtime could easily make a reference to Daddy Long Legs, a nod to the game’s fan base and their creativity, using one of these methods.
