Poppy Playtime Chapter 2's release date is still pending, but in the meantime, there are plenty of games like it to try before it comes out. It's not the only puzzle/horror title on the market, after all, and the genre is full of fun games with their own unique charms. Even if they don't feature Huggy Wuggy or the Playtime Co. toy factory, other horror games have plenty to offer players, especially ones who are fans of Poppy Playtime.
In their bid to free the game's titular toy, Poppy, players will navigate the abandoned Playtime Co. toy factory, where they'll solve puzzles and uncover pieces of the series' lore, all while being pursued by a monstrous blue doll that's hiding a dark secret and an appetite. Kids love Poppy Playtime's Huggy Wuggy for some reason, and the game itself has enjoyed a great deal of success in a small amount of time. A second chapter, titled Fly in a Web, is coming soon, but it doesn't have a fixed release date yet. A trailer for it has shown off the next main monster, Mommy Long Legs, who looks just as terrifying as — if not more than — Huggy Wuggy.

The horror genre is awash with games, some of which Poppy Playtime likely draws inspiration from. With all of the frightening titles out there, there's plenty to keep players busy until the next chapter comes out. Some may even become new favorites, or inspire a fresh wave of nightmares. Poppy Playtime itself is also worth playing again, since a new playthrough may offer details that players didn't notice before.
