One of the most exciting crafting materials introduced in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 updateis Glowing Moss. This plant is a naturally growing resource and can be gathered to make some of the coolest-looking items in the game. While large quantities of the material can be hard to obtain, players have easy access to the moss in the Happy Home Paradise DLC. Glowing Moss can only be found in two different locations and is required to make 23 different DIY Recipes.
The 2.0 update added plenty of new content for fans to enjoy. The introduction of Brewster, gyroids, farming, and much more rekindled the passion that many players felt at launch. Much like the game's Mystery Islands, fans can travel to different locations daily by taking one of Kapp'n's boat tours in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. This recurring character will transport players to various islands, searching for new or rare materials. The resources found can be from different seasons and are useful for finishing the museum. In addition, Kapp'n's boat tours are the first way that fans can gather the Glowing Moss in the game.

There are a total of 11 distinct islands that players can visit, with Glowing Moss Island hosting these plants. Kapp'n has a 78% chance of taking fans to a Normal island and a 22% chance for a Rare island. Glowing Moss Island is the former, meaning there is an excellent opportunity to visit this location. Players should take note that if a Good Belongings Fortune from Katrina in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Kapp'n is guaranteed to take them to a Rare island for that day.
