The official Infinity Ward Twitter account appears to be teasing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and the announcement of the game could be happening soon. Modern Warfare 2 is the much-rumored sequel to 2019's Modern Warfare reboot, which remains one of the most well-received Call of Duty entries of recent years.
In February, Activision and Infinity Ward confirmed that 2022's Call of Duty would be a sequel to Modern Warfare 2019, following months of rumors and leaks. Infinity Ward added that the game's Warzone mode would be a completely new experience, with an entirely different map and a new sandbox mode. Both the base game and its battle royale mode will be powered by a new game engine, implying that the two could be released at the same time.

Now a full reveal of the so-called Modern Warfare 2 could be imminent, as Infinity Ward seems to be strongly hinting at it on Twitter.
