The player base of Call of Duty:Mobile has nearly outnumbered the amount of Call of Duty players on PC and consoles, proving the popularity of the game on mobile. This follows a record year for the free-to-play title and bodes well for the recently-announced mobile version of Call of Duty: Warzone.
Call of Duty: Mobile was released across a variety of countries in mid-to-late 2019, and has already proven to be hugely successful, with Activision previously announcing that the title had been downloaded over 500 million times as of May 2021. The mobile title is free-to-play and includes many characters and multiplayer modes that Call of Duty fans may already be familiar with, such as Prop Hunt, Capture The Flag, and a 100-player battle royale. Another staple of the Call of Duty PC and console entries, Zombies, was later added in November 2019. The title is regularly updated with new features and level types added such as Zombies' survival mode, Undead Siege. Zombies mode has always been popular in CoD, bolstering new interest in the mobile game.
