The Godzilla vs King Kong Warzone event went live on May 11, but gamers are less than thrilled by the giant monster madness.
Based on the film Godzilla vs Kong, released in 2021, the new Call of Duty: Warzone event Operation: Monarch pits players against crazed kaiju. The event tasks players with dropping into Caldera and gathering intel while trying to take down Godzilla and Kong. The two giant monsters slowly carve their own paths across the map, with Kong making massive leaps and throwing rocks while Godzilla trudges along and unleashes atomic breath. While the Warzone event does let players unload firepower into the two iconic titans, the duo never actually face off in-game. Popular streamers have largely trashed the Godzilla vs Kong Warzone event, with many complaints stemming from the absence of an actual kaiju fight.
