Update your address on Driving License through mParivahan! Here’s how to

If you are using a two-wheeler or a four-wheeler, having a Driving License and RC is mandatory in India. It contains important details like the user's name, date of birth and residential address. And if you have shifted your residential address or moved to a new place, you must update the address on your driving License as well. You will have to make an application to q Regional Transport Office to update the change in the driving license. While earlier, it used to be a hectic process and you had to visit the Dept. of transportation, under Govt of India, now you can get it at the comfort of your home. The Dept. of Transportation has introduced an app called mParivahan, through which you can update your address on the driving license. Here's how you can change the address on Driving License online.

Visit the official website parivahan.gov and click on "Driving License Related Services" from the drop-down menu under "Online Services".

Select the state from the drop-down menu and then tap on "Apply for Change of Address" icon. 

Click on "Continue" and then enter the "Driving License Number" and "Date of Birth". 

Now click on "Get DL Details" and confirm that the driving details are correctly mentioned. 

Now, select the "RTO" and click on "Proceed". 

Add all the required details and tick the box against "Change of address on DL". 

Choose "Permanent", "Present", or "Both" address and "Confirm." 

Submit the details and pay the processing fee. It’s done. Your address will be updated on the driving license.
