The newly revamped PlayStation Plus will include over 100 classic Ubisoft games thanks to Ubisoft+, which has been confirmed to be included with the subscription service. Earlier this year, Sony announced that it was relaunching its existing PlayStation Plus, believed to be so as to better compete with Microsoft's massively popular Xbox Game Pass. The new PlayStation Plus will be combined with the PlayStation Now cloud gaming service, introduce new content tiers that grant access to more content, and give fans access to older titles from the earlier PlayStation console generations. This last part has been a major selling point for this new version of PlayStation Plus, as the PS5 currently doesn't support backward compatibility for games from the PS3 era or earlier, in stark contrast to the Xbox Series X/S.
Earlier today, May 16, Sony unveiled the first line-up of games that will be available once the new PlayStation Plus goes live in June, featuring a mix of modern hits like Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut, God of War (2018), and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales alongside classics like Syphon Filter, Tekken 2, and even Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. Not every recent or past PlayStation title will be available on PlayStation Plus right away, as PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan confirmed in an interview that day one releases likely won't come to PS Plus.
