Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially revealed June 2022’s PlayStation Plus line-up.
Confirming an earlier leak, God of War (PS4), Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker (PS4) and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl (PS4/PS5) will join the subscription service on June 7.
May’s PlayStation Plus games are FIFA 22 (PS5 and PS4), Tribes of Midgard (PS5 and PS4) and Curse of the Dead Gods (PS4). They will be available to claim until June 6.
A revamped PlayStation Plus service featuring three membership tiers (Essential, Extra and Premium) began rolling out in Asia on May 23 and despite some launch issues, SIE CEO Jim Ryan claimed the initial market reaction was “extremely positive”.
The service is due to launch in Japan on June 2, North and South America on June 13, and Australia, New Zealand, and Europe on June 23.
The Essential tier offers the same benefits as the current PS Plus service, including ‘free’ PS4 and PS5 games every month, online multiplayer access and PS Store discounts.
The Extra tier adds access to a catalogue of 400 PS4 and PS5 games, which can be downloaded similar to Xbox Game Pass.
Finally, the Premium tier adds a selection of PS1, PS2 and PSP games to download and PS3 games via cloud streaming. It also includes time-limited game trials.
SIE boss Ryan said last week that the company hopes to grow the PlayStation Plus subscriber base from 47.4 million last fiscal year to 50 million during the current fiscal year ending on March 31, 2023.
