Fans were initially excited when a sequel to the action-adventure title Beyond Good and Evil was announced. Officially unveiled in 2017 at Ubisoft's E3 conference with plenty of teases before then, Beyond Good and Evil 2 seeks to give players a different experience from the original game, with plenty more RPG elements and a more ambitious approach to gameplay and graphics. However, since Beyond Good and Evil 2 was unveiled, fans have found plenty of doubt and uncertainty in regard to its development.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 is one of many games currently rumored to be in development hell, with current estimates alleging that the title has been worked on for over a decade. With many fans now all but ready to hear that the upcoming RPG has been canceled, it seems Ubisoft is still firmly in the belief that Beyond Good and Evil 2 will release, even mentioning it in a recent annual Q&A meeting. While it isn't exactly surprising that the game came up in conversation, some fans will be pleased to hear what Ubisoft said about it.
Skull and Bones-Focused Ubisoft Forward Announced
According to Ubisoft, Beyond Good and Evil 2 is currently included in a list of announced projects that are in active development. Previously, Ubisoft has confirmed that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is in the works, but to hear that it is in active development implies that the game has not been shelved, which has some fans believing that Ubisoft is gearing up for an announcement on the title.
