Ubisoft pulls Assassin's Creed Liberation HD from Steam
pcgamesinsider.bizFrench publishing giant Ubisoft is pulling 2012's Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD from Steam.
That's according to a new notice that's appeared on the game's store page, which says that it is no longer for sale at the request of its publisher. Furthermore, from September 1st, consumers will not be able to play the game via Steam, which has raised concerns about how permanent digital purchases are.
Consumers can still buy Liberation via the Assassin's Creed III Remastered though.
This follows news that Ubisoft would be closing online support for some of its games released between 2009 and 2019, including Assassin's Creed 2, Brotherhood, 3, Driver San Francisco and Far Cry 3. Liberation HD was listed in this round of closures, though only its multiplayer and online features are named as being shut down.
