The creator behind Adult Swim’s Tuca & Bertie confirms the arrival of season 3 this summer. Cartoonist Lisa Hanawalt created the adult animated sitcom that follows the story of two 30-year-old anthropomorphic female birds, Tuca, the toco toucan (Tiffany Haddish), and Bertie, the song thrush (Ali Wong). Hanawalt also serves as the production designer and producer of the popular animated dramedy, Bojack Horseman, on Netflix.
Now, according to Hanawalt (via swimpedia), season 3 of the animated comedy series will arrive this summer on Adult Swim. In a recent post on her Instagram story, Hanawalt shares that season 2 and season 3 will also be made available on HBO Max. The cartoonist broke the news alongside a screenshot of Vulture’s article with Mike Moon, the head of Adult Animation at Netflix, with the article mentioning the hasty cancellation of Tuca & Bertie.
