During the Version 2.6 livestream, Genshin Impact announced the «Spices From the West» event featuring a researcher from the new region Sumeru, leaving fans wondering who this character from Sumeru could be. The researcher has traveled from Sumeru to Liyue to conduct research on spices. During the event, players will cook dishes for the Companions in their Serenitea Pot, earning them Companionship EXP. Currently, there are no Dendro playable characters in Genshin Impact, although Baizhu and Yaoyao are expected to become playable later this year. Although their elemental mastery is Dendro, Baizhu, and Yaoyao in Genshin Impact hail from the Liyue region, not Sumeru, meaning that Sumeru’s playable characters still remain a mystery. However, Spices From The West’s Sumeru character could be an NPC from Sumeru, a few of which have already been introduced to Genshin Impact players.
