While the long-awaited Kamisato Ayato has not even arrived yet, multiple leaks have already revealed more information about a new Genshin Impact character named Yelan who will most likely arrive in the following update. Both Ayato and Yelan will share the same Hydro element.

An interesting post on the popular Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit shows a list of popular leakers and their leaks for the upcoming content. Most credible leakers like Uncle Chasm have confirmed the five-star character named Yelan that will arrive in update 2.7. Yelan's model has been revealed in the 2.6 beta, but there was no information about her kit which means that she will most likely appear in Genshin impact's main story. According to the game's usual update schedule, Genshin Impact update 2.7 should arrive around May 15.
Yelan's model reveals that she will be using a bow, and she's rumored to be a Hydro vision holder. This would make her the second character to have this weapon-element combination after Childe. The leakers seem to be divided when it comes to Yelan's role in a team composition. While some of them claim that Yelan is new Genshin Impact DPS character, others reveal that she will have a supportive role.
