Call of Duty: Vanguard players have been looking forward to the start of Season 2 for quite a while now. The new season and its content were delayed in January as Activision dealt with ongoing issues with both Vanguard and Warzone. Activision is now ready to move forward, with Season 2 officially arriving Monday, February 14. For Call of Duty: Vanguard players that don't want to wait, however, there appears to be a workaround that allows early access to Season 2's content.
While Call of Duty: Vanguard players won't be able to compete in Season 2 matchmaking or anything to that degree, the new content is available to experiment with via a simple option. All players have to do is start a Call of Duty: Vanguard private match, where they can play all the new content for themselves. That's because Activision has already issued the patch for Season 2, but hasn't enabled it. Private matches don't have this restriction, however.

Season 2 content that can be accessed from private matches at the moment includes the Ball Turret Gunner killstreak, the Casablanca and Gondola maps, the KG M40 AR and Whitley LMG, new perks, and a way to inspect the player's held weapon for AR, pistols, and the katana. Suffice to say, that's a good selection of content from Season 2, enough to make an impression.
There's also a good number of new items and outfits that Activision is likely planning to release in Season 2 that have been added in-game. For example, a second Attack on Titan cosmetic bundle can now be viewed in-game. For example, looking at Roland's outfits will show an Armored Titan skin for him.
