Falcom, the Japanese company behind the Trails and Ys games, has published its latest financial report — and it makes for positive reading if you're a Western fan. The report (as spotted by @AvengerMags and verified by Noisy Pixel) shows that the developer is in good health, and that its financial position has been bolstered by Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure.
The two RPGs were recently released for the first time here in the West. Zero launched in September last year, while Azure dropped just a couple of months ago, in March. However, Falcom says that both titles actually exceeded sales expectations, which is great news for everyone involved.
The Trails series has gained a lot more traction in territories outside of Asia in recent years, largely down to the release of the Trails of Cold Steel games on PS4. With NIS America on publishing duty — and with two more Trails titles coming this year — it's fair to assume that the property will continue to increase its influence.
