Ys X: Nordics now has a confirmed release date in Japan. The action RPG launches on the 28th September for both PS5 and PS4 — and that gives us some idea as to when Adol's latest adventure could sail overseas to Western territories.
These days, all of Falcom's games are published by NIS America here in the West, but the localisation backlog is still a problem. It takes a long time to localise the Trails titles, for example, thanks to their gigantic scripts, and for reference, it took NIS America over a year to launch the previous Ys game, Ys IX: Monstrum Nox.
That said, the publisher has clearly been upping its efforts, as evidenced by the fact it's on course to release three Trails titles in 2023. As such, we'd be willing to bet that Ys X will target a 2024 launch in the West. With Kuro no Kiseki also pencilled in for 2024 — we'd assume — it could be a big year for Western Falcom fans.
