Elden Ring's Lands Between is a vast map. So vast it's likely some of you who have been playing since launch day are yet to see every corner of it. One of the best ways to get around The Lands Between is to ride Torrent. A cross between a horse and a goat who you can ride around to your heart's content. However, even Torrent has his pitfalls, but they might be bugs rather than features.
One of the biggest pitfalls with Torrent players have highlighted is his inability to double jump when you step off a ledge. That this doesn't happen every single time has led some players to believe it's part of the game, or perhaps linked to your loadout being too heavy for the poor beast. YouTuber Zullie the Witch has explained why that probably isn't the case.

According to Zullie, Torrent being unwilling to double jump in these perilous situations is due to not only the weapon you're holding but also the way you hold it. While the problem does appear to be linked to larger weapons, such as swords and spears, it's also connected to how players tend to hold these weapons, usually over their shoulder. These are category two and three weapons, and Torrent falling rather than double jumping is likely due to a flag being left out of the fall animation.
A lack of want to double jump at inopportune times isn't the only problem players have with Torrent.
