Anduin's Story Continues in 9.2.5In the interview, buffed asked if Anduin is likely to play a big role in Dragonflight. Ion replied that we will actually see him sooner than that, in 9.2.5.
Ion HazzikostasWe actually have some answers to that question in Shadowlands. In 9.2.5 there's a little more to tell about the aftermath of everything we've seen. After what Anduin went through, surely this experience changed him forever and he can't just go back to who he was before. And that's something he has to deal with. Our current assumption is that Anduin will step down as King of Stormwind and leader of the Alliance. But he has his own journey ahead of him as well. And that's it, I don't want to give too much away.We already knew Anduin has decided to take some time away from his duties from a conversation between Anduin and Greymane in the Aftermath of the main story of Patch 9.2. In this discussion, Anduin tells Greymane he's not ready to leave the Shadowlands quite yet, and that he trusts Turalyon to look over the Alliance in the meantime. Anduin Wrynn says: I can't go back, Genn. Not yet. Genn Greymane says: But the people need-- Anduin Wrynn says: Turalyon will keep the Alliance safe in my absence. And I know you'll watch over everyone we care about… Old Wolf. Genn Greymane says: Of course. Take whatever time you need. And when you're ready… please, come home.
