Top Gun: Maverick Series S Includes Xbox's Coolest Controller Yet
The latest Xbox sweepstakes is offering up a Top Gun: Maverick-themed Xbox Series S console, which features one of Microsoft's coolest controllers to date. This counts as just one of the several Xbox Series S console sweepstakes that Microsoft has hosted since the system launched in late 2020. Some may recall that a recent contest asked fans to enter for a chance to win a Sonic the Hedgehog 2-inspired Series S; oddly enough, this particular special edition system came complete with furry blue and red controllers.
Microsoft partnering with Paramount Pictures for Top Gun: Maverick-style hardware seems a given when taking the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator DLC into consideration. Announced during E3 2021, Flight Simulator's Top Gun content originally boasted a fall 2021 release window, coinciding with the film's theatrical release. When Paramount delayed the eagerly-anticipated sequel to 2022, Microsoft had no choice but to similarly postpone its DLC plans. The wait is coming to an end, though, with Flight Simulator's Top Gun: Maverick experience now scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, May 25.

Today, May 20, Xbox launched a sweepstakes that Twitter users can enter for a chance to win an exclusive Top Gun Series S console and controller. The rules, as featured on Xbox's official website, state that all participants must be 18 or older, possess an active Twitter account, and follow the @Xbox account for no less than seven days after the entry period. To enter, contestants need to retweet the promotional post below with #TopGunMaverickXboxSweepstakes attached. Once the sweepstakes ends on June 10, the sole grand prize winner will receive a custom Xbox Series S
