Netflix Nabs Horizon Zero Dawn Series, Gran Turismo in Development
During a Sony investor briefing yesterday, it was announced that and will be the latest PlayStation series to be adapted into television series.
The series has been nabbed by Netflix, while the series has yet to find a distributor. Both series are currently in early development. It was also confirmed that the upcoming series will indeed be distributed through Prime Video.
follows Aloy, a young outcast who sets out to unravel the mysteries behind her robot dinosaur-filled, post-apocalyptic world. The first game was released for the PS4 in 2017, while its sequel, , was released for the PS4 and PS5 just this past February. Meanwhile, is one of the most popular racing games in the industry, with having been released for the PS4 and PS5 this past March.
Quite a few of Sony’s video game franchises have been making the jump to another medium. Following the release of the movie in February, there’s a movie in the works, an HBO show based on . and a Peacock series based on .
