Top Gun: Maverick is now in theaters, and Ace Combat 7’s tie-in DLC has now arrived on all platforms. Not only does the Top Gun: Maverick Aircraft Set include several fighters from the new hit movie, but it also includes a pretty baller remix of Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone.”
You can listen to a part of the song in today’s reveal trailer that also details all the new aircraft and their special weapons. Although it’s a bit of a shame Loggins himself isn’t screaming “danger zone” as players launch missiles in multiplayer furballs, it’s still the perfect accompaniment to Ace Combat 7’s notoriously hectic dogfights.

Speaking of dogfights, the Top Gun: Maverick Aircraft Set will add six new aircraft to the fray. There are two versions of both the F-14A Tomcat and the F/A-18E Super Hornet offer pilots choice in how much Top Gun they want to experience at once. The F/A-18E Super Hornet comes with the HVAA, GPB, and HCAA special weapons, while the F-14A focuses on air-to-air targets with SAAM, HPAA, and LAAM special weapons.
The other two aircraft are the DarkStar, an experimental sequel to the iconic SR-71 Blackbird, and the “5th Gen Fighter,” which appears to be a slightly modified Su-57. The Dark Star’s payload includes SASM, PLSL, and XSDB, while the 5th Gen Fighter gets 4AAM, LACM, and HCAA.
Along with the aircraft and multiplayer music remixes, the Top Gun: Maverick Aircraft Set adds 10 emblems and 38 skins (many of which are taken straight out of both Top Gun movies), and 12 new nicknames.
But wait, that’s not all! Bandai Namco has also bundled the Top Gun tie-in with the base game. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown - Top Gun: Maverick Edition includes the base game
