Top Gun: Maverick premiered on May 27, 2022, and is the long-awaited sequel to the 1986 film Top Gun. The film follows Pete «Maverick» Mitchell (Tom Cruise), a U.S. Navy test pilot doing his best to avoid promotions that might restrict him. Now, in Top Gun: Maverick, he is face-t0-face with Goose's son and struggles with how to protect Rooster while honoring his friend's memory.
