After the Pixel 7a and the Pixel Fold release dates and availability leaked yesterday, we now have word on Pixel Tablet. While we already know that the device is making its debut at Google I/O 2023, the information we have our hands on pertains to the colors the tablet will be available in its memory configuration, as well as all the other additions that you are going to get.
Google officially unveiled the Pixel Tablet last year, but the company has been quiet about the upcoming tablet ever since then. Last year, Google showcased green and beige colorways, and the new information unearthed by 9to5Google suggests that the table will be available in two additional colors, taking the total up to four colors.
In addition, the Pixel Tablet will be made out of an aluminum body, and Google uses a nanoceramic finish that will give the tablet a very "soft matte look and textured feel."
Unfortunately for some, the Pixel Tablet will be launching with last year's Tensor G2 and Android 13 out of the box. You will also get 8 gigs of RAM, and the tablet will be offered in two storage options. Google will be adding the Charging Speaker Dock with other models, the dock can double up as a charger thanks to pogo pins found on the back, and the dock itself will receive power via a barrel jack that is found on the backside. As expected, you will not be getting a USB Type-C charger in the box.
The charging dock that ships with PIxel Tablet will also bring Google's Assistant Smart Display, and yes, you will get a physical switch that can turn off the microphone and camera whenever you want.
