The actor who plays Dick Grayson on the HBO Max drama Titans, shares his idea for a very different Nightwing movie. One of the most popular characters in not just the DC Universe, but the Batman family, is the original Robin a.k.a. Dick Grayson. While he began as the Boy Wonder, Dick's popularity comes primarily from his evolution into Nightwing, as Batman's former sidekick became his own hero. Throughout his existence, Dick has been depicted multiple times in various DC projects, both animation and live-action. The character got a bigger platform in the world of live-action through Titans, with Brenton Thwaites portraying the iconic hero.
Since 2018, Titans has followed Dick's journey in leaving his Robin days behind and escaping Batman's shadow. By the end of Titans season 2, Dick officially took on the Nightwing moniker and came full circle as the leader of the super-team. After moving to HBO Max for season 3, Titans has become one of the platform's big original DC series, as the streaming service handed it a season 4 renewal in 2021. While Titans have given Nightwing a regular live-action property, the hero has yet to make it to the big screen. Despite Chris O'Donnell portraying him in the late '90s through Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, his iteration never took on the Nightwing title.

While a Nightwing film was in development a few years back, the Titans star was recently asked in a new interview with Cosmic Circus if he would be game to star in it.
