A new BTS image from Titans season 4 is fueling speculation that not only is Lex Luthor coming to the show, but also the city of Metropolis. Since the show premiered in 2018, Titans has not wasted any time introducing various heroes and villains from the DC Universe. Some may be related to the actual Teen Titans franchise while others have just regular ties within the DC lore. One of the show's primary characters is Conner, a.k.a. Superboy, who became one of the newer additions during Titans season 2.
While he has continued to be a significant part of the series, Titans has barely scratched the surface of Conner being the clone of Lex Luthor and Superman. While the two icons have been referenced here and there, fans have yet to meet the Titans iterations of those characters. While never directly stated, those two having not shown up in the flesh is most likely due to character restrictions. However, things may be changing for Titans season 4 as Lex is rumored to be making his debut in the HBO Max drama in some capacity.

Nicholas Copus, who is part of the Titans season 4 production, recently shared the prep book that the directors have seemingly been given for the new season. While featuring various characters like Starfire, Nightwing, Beast Boy, Raven, and Superboy, Lex can be spotted looming over Conner's shoulders. In addition to that, a big shot of Metropolis is featured behind them, possibly teasing a visit to Superman's city.
