Wordle may very well be the first viral craze of 2022, ending 2021 on a strong note and beginning the new year on an even stronger one. The word game involves figuring out the placement of letters to guess a five-letter word, and it has covered social media with people posting their daily Wordle successes and fails. It’s a pretty engaging word game, and it’ll be interesting to see how long it remains in the public eye, especially after Wordle was acquired by the New York Times.

Nonetheless, it has captured the most casual gamer to the most hardcore in a way that only viral crazes can. So, it’s not surprising that popular YouTube streamer TimTheTatMan recently played a game for his viewers, but his reaction to it is beyond hilarious—as his loss in the game comes with a twinge of irony.

After his third guess, he is able to determine that the final three letters are “_ _ i s t.”

With three guesses left, he states that he wants his chat to know he’s smart and that he’s an “intellectual genius.” He spells out “doist,” “goist” and “moist,” pronouncing them all as “do-ist,” “go-ist” and “mo-ist,” but he doesn’t actually submit them as answers. He eventually guesses “zoist,” confirming the final four letters were “_ o i s t.” His final guess is “joist” before he loses, and the game confirms the word was “moist.”
