Wordle is the newest viral online gaming sensation. Part of Wordle's popularity is that it is free-to-play, easy-to-share, easy-to-play, and people can't get enough of these simple word puzzles. Today's word is another of the more than 10,000 total possible words.
In spite of Wordle's new New York Times website location, the game is played the same as always. Players head to the website and type in their first guess, which can be any five-letter English word. Once the word is typed in and the player hits enter, their first guess' letters will be highlighted in green for correct letters, yellow for correct letters in the wrong locations, and gray for incorrect letters.

After that, players use the clues given by the color of the letters to formulate a new word and guess another. Wordle gives players a total of six tries to get the word right before the game is over. Whether a player gets the word right or not, they can check out their stats including their Wordle winning streak, number of total puzzles played, and more. The puzzle resets every day at midnight local time, and there is just one word a day.
Today's word is going to be the same whether players are using the New York Times version or are playing a backup of the original. Although the New York Times removed several words from Wordle during the migration, these have not altered the original choices just yet. Here are some hints for today's puzzle.
