According to the users who rushed to Twitter to complain, Thursday's answer was way “too British.” It can be known that the Wordle 250 answer for Feb 24 was "bloke".
It became an issue as the word bloke refers to British slang for “man”. Notably, the Australians too like to lay claim to this word. "Today's wordle felt particularly Australian. I would have gotten it in four, if I hadn't changed my answer at the last minute, thinking, no, a New Yorker wouldn't use this word! I was wrong," one Twitter user wrote.
