This incident was first reported by Wavy. According to them, Kelli Worst was enjoying a Saturday night at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront along with a couple of friends. After having a good time, they all booked a ride home. However, as Worst was about to get into her car, a guy approached her and asked for her help in finding his phone. “I figured he probably has to report somewhere in the morning. He’s going to be in trouble if he doesn’t get there. I just felt bad for him and wanted to help him, and honestly when he told me he was in the military I felt a sense of safety,” Worst told Wavy.
As Worst called his phone, nobody responded and they could not even hear a ring. When she tried to put the number in the ‘Find my iPhone’ app, the notification told her that it wasn’t a valid number.
