Collectibles manufacturer Queen Studios has officially unveiled its next sixth-scale figure as part of its InArts line, Gandalf the Grey from Lord of the Rings. Based on Sir Ian McKellen's likeness from the Peter Jackson-directed film trilogy, the figure doesn't just have an uncanny resemblance to the actor's facial features, it also sports an impressively bushy beard and wool hair.
The head sculpt features moveable eyes, while the figure itself stands at around 12-inches in height, As for accessories, this collectible comes dressed in a fabric outfit, has multiple interchangeable hands, a staff, a sword with a scabbard, an envelope, a moth, a pipe, a book, a satchel, a cloak, and Gandalf's fancy hat.
As for the base, you'll be able to securely position little Gandalf on it thanks to the power of magnets. All switch-out hands are also magnetic, making for a quick and easy swap. This figure won't come cheap though, as all that rooted hair will set you back around $550 according to Queen Studios--roughly a Smaug-hoard of cash--when it goes up for preorder later this week. You'll also need to be patient, as this figure is expected to start shipping out in Q2 of 2023.
In other Lord of the Rings news, Amazon's The Rings of Power series will premiere on September 2 on Prime Video. Season 2 has already been greenlit and production is leaving New Zealand for the UK.
