CD Projekt RED’s REDkit for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which grants players extensive freedom to edit the game and create content, is now available on PC. Check out the launch trailer below for some of the cooler (and zanier) things it’s capable of.
Some options include creating cutscenes and editing terrain to implement, for example, harbors for Geralt to hop on boats. Players can also create environments, like a mushroom-filled forest, and replace character models so that Geralt catches Dandelion instead of Triss during a cutscene. If you want to place horses on rooftops, create new enemies or replace Geralt with the Bloody Baron, the choice is yours.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. It’s sold over 50 million units worldwide since May 2023. Check out our review of the PS5 version, which includes multiple quality-of-life features and new content via the Next-Gen Update. CD Projekt RED is working on a sequel codenamed Polaris, which is in pre-production and involves over 400 developers.
