Twitch streamer QTCinderlla's first annual Streamer Awards has now completed, bringing together many of the most popular and successful streamers and content creators in the industry. Hosted by QTCinderella and Maya Higa, The Streamer Awards featured 27 different categories, peaked at over 380,000 viewers on Twitch, and lasted around two hours and forty minutes. With the show now concluded, fans are free to watch the entire The Streamer Awards 2021 or to peruse the list of winners as they please.
The Streamer Awards came to fruition in three different phases. The first phase, which ran in early February, had fans submit their picks for each of the 27 categories of the award show. Based on an aggregation of those picks, three of each category's four nominees were chosen. The final nominee was picked by a panel of Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook industry commentators, writers, journalists, and organization owners. In phase two, fans voted their favorites from the nominees. Each category's winner was decided by a weighted combination of 70% popular vote and 30% panel vote. Phase three was Saturday's show itself, where each category's winners were revealed.

The biggest award of the show, Streamer of the Year, saw Ludwig, Mizkif, Sykkuno, and xQc nominated. In what was a surprise result to much of the streaming community, Ludwig and not xQc won the award. In his speech, Ludwig says that he had «one good month» and that he hopes looking at 2022 he's able to turn that into one good year. Ludwig also cryptically said he's glad he got one this year, because he won't be able to again.
