LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, the latest brick-breaking action adventure game from TT Games, is being regarded as the developer's parting gift to the Star Wars universe, and possibly their final foray into a galaxy far, far away. But with such an illustrious history and a wealth of canon to draw upon, TT Games has a near infinite number of stories to retell in its own LEGO adaptations. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a terrific game to send off TT Games' LEGO Star Wars series, but there are so many other possible adaptations to be made in its signature LEGO style.
Historically, LEGO games haven't been as good as you may remember. The combat systems have at times been annoying, leading to frustration, friendly fire, and many accidental falls. Past entries have used fixed camera angles to navigate player areas, leading to little control on players' POV and more frustration during combat scenarios. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, in contrast, has fixed many of these issues, including a new combat system and a tighter, more dynamic third-person camera angle. This could be TT Games' triumphant exit from the Star Wars universe, but it certainly shouldn't be if the developer has just found its stride.
