A new season in NBA 2K22 is currently underway, challenging players with various missions and tasks to take on to receive rewards to help build and shape a better team. On April 6, Season 6: Zero Gravity officially began with a ton of anticipation, and 2K Games shares new details about what to expect.
New information regarding the season's spotlight is now available, highlighting specific rewards obtainable once a certain level is reached, up to level 40. The MyTeam mode of NBA 2K22 also has a new weekend challenge for players to participate in and two new locker codes to redeem for great rewards.

While a bunny suit awaits players once they reach level 40, seven player units are also available throughout the event. Starting at level 1 with a special edition onyx Ja Morant unit with a 97-overall rating, players can then work their way up towards six gold units. These include an 85-overall Russell Westbrook at level 7, an 89-overall Dwyane Wade at level 13, a 91-overall Devean George at level 20, a 93-overall Udonis Haslem at level 24, a 95-overall Luis Scola at level 28, and finally a 97-overall Detlef Schrempf at level 33. Players can use these units, along with the three new Dark Matter cards NBA 2K22 released earlier this week, to work towards rewards like a Hall of Fame badge, over 100 tokens, and more.
The weekend also brought players their first challenge of Zero 6: Gravity, with a Dark Matter unit up for grabs. The details are straightforward but quite challenging, as it limits players to using only one Pink Diamond, one Diamond, and one Amethyst, while the remainder of the team must be Ruby-tiered or lower.
