The first teaser trailer for Netflix's adaptation of The School For Good And Evil has arrived. Based on the fairytale novel series written by Soman Chainani, The School For Good And Evil is the first book in the seven-volume series that focuses on children who are taken to an «enchanted institution.» There, they are trained to become fairytale heroes (Evers) or villains (Nevers). The film is directed by Paul Feig and stars Charlize Theron as Lady Lesso, Kerry Washington as Professor Dovey, Michelle Yeoh as Professor Anemone, and Laurence Fishburne as The School Master. Sophia Anne Caruso plays co-lead Sophie, while Sofia Wylie plays the other co-lead, Agatha, with additional cast members including Ben Kingsley, Rob Delaney, and Rachel Bloom.
Debuting in 2013, The School For Good And Evil has since gone on to be a popular best-selling series, completing the final book in the saga in 2020. The first book sets up the main characters of Sophie and Agatha, who are children from the village of Gavaldon that are whisked away and brought to the magical school, where they find their fates aren't what they expected. Sophie always dreamed of being a good princess, while Agatha always presented as being on the darker side. However, the pair find themselves on opposite sides at The School for Good and Evil, where they must contend with their new roles and find out if it truly represents their destiny in the land of The Endless Woods.
