The debut trailer for The Plucky Squire left us extremely excited to play this new game from Devolver Digital, and the follow-up is just as charming. The colourful action adventure's core concept of popping in and out of a child's storybook continues to win us over in this new gameplay.
It looks to feature lots of varied gameplay styles in both the 2D and 3D elements, going from side-scrolling platforming to top-down sword slashing. The game is bursting with imagination, and we can't wait to see all its twists and turns when it launches on PS5 later this year.

Having grown up alongside PlayStation, Stephen has developed an eclectic taste in video games and a wide knowledge of the medium, from small indie gems to the biggest AAA blockbusters. Ever hopeful that the Burnout series makes a miraculous return.
I've been following this since the moment it was announced and it's somehow looking even better now than it did back then, I am literally shaking with excitement for this one, absolutely cannot wait for it to come out!
Also, fun fact: the main producer/art director for this is James Turner, better known for his work as an art director/creature designer for Pokemon!
This looks great! I hadn't heard of it before, but it's absolutely on my radar now.
The smaller games were the highlight of the show for me, and I hope they get some attention once the disappointment over the lack of big hitters wears off. This looks really clever and I'm looking forward to playing it.
