The Outer Worlds was Obsidian Entertainments’ latest RPG title released into the marketplace. Players were given a new thrilling adventure set in the distant future where humanity has expanded across the galaxy. With the game released into the marketplace at the end of the last-generation console platform, it was likely the studio already had planned on an updated version. Today, the senior communications manager for Obsidian Entertainment, Shyla Schofield, has taken to the Xbox Wire blog and posted some more insight into what we can expect with The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition.
It was rather recently that The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition was revealed to the public. It’s a brand new enhanced edition of The Outer Worlds. So those of you who haven’t already played the game could get the best experience with this edition. Meanwhile, those that have already gone through the title may find the latest edition worth picking up. But as mentioned, we’re finally given a bit more insight into the game and the thought process that went into this edition. Overall, it was noted that the edition was made to ensure that the RPG wouldn’t age prematurely as new games hit the marketplace.
Since this game was released right before the latest-generation platforms, the studio went back to make use of the new hardware so that the game not only looks great but plays just as well. This edition brings out 4K visuals and 60 FPS graphics. Developers also improved the lighting, special effects, physics, and asset density.
